Each day our body moves along three different planes of motion, which are: Sagittal plane Frontal plane Transverse plane In our everyday activities such as sitting down, standing up, walking, running, shopping, going to bed, getting out of bed, cooking, we naturally engage all 3 of these planes of motion. However, if we only do a workout using one plane of motion it is likely that you will overtrain our muscles in one direction which ultimately leads to muscle imbalance and eventually injury. So always aim to include all 3 planes of motion in your workouts to help you build a stronger body and prevent the risk of injury. I focus on using MDM (multiple directional moves) which means I make sure we use, Sagittal, Frontal and Transverse. And don’t forget you have over 1000 free home workouts on my YouTube Channel that do this.
